Complaint: My roommate left one (1) frying pan in the sink overnight, allegedly after being reminded about the dish chart. They say it is "not a big deal." The dish chart disagrees. The chart was laminated.
Defense: The respondent argues the pan needed to soak because of the eggs, and that they would have washed it "in the morning." They also note that the petitioner has, on at least three occasions, used the last of the oat milk without a replacement oat milk appearing.
Findings: The pan required twenty minutes of soaking, not an overnight stay. Both parties have committed small offenses; the difference is that the respondent was specifically reminded about the chart the day before.
Verdict: Respondent washes the pan tonight, and the oat-milk debt is hereby acknowledged.
Reasoning: Housemates do not need to be best friends. They do need a working sink and a working oat-milk supply. The chart stands. The chart is laminated for a reason. Both of you — move on, please.
